Consumers are now focusing their efforts on consumption of fresh/unprocessed foods and have come to believe that ‘eating everything in moderation’ may be the best solution Findings from the recently released 2015 Study of Nutrient Knowledge & Consumption show adults increasingly aware of the link between nutrition and good health and nearly four in ten in strong agreement that the right foods can be as effective as medicine for some health problems

Online interviews were conducted from December 29, 2015 to January 14, 2016 among a national sample of 1,015 adults ages 18 and older Trends from previous studies (2005-2015) are included where applicable

A Market Segmentation Analysis is included that divides adults into distinct groups, each with their own unique set of attitudes impacting their receptivity to eating healthy and
consumption of nutrients
