To augment the capacity of its industrial robots, the company collaborated with AI companies such as Nvidia in 2016. This collaboration will improve the robot’s graphic processing capabilities using deep-learning technology. This will be exploited to enable FANUC robots to recognize, process, and adapt to the external environment. By using neural networks, the robots can be empowered to analyze and teach itself as well as teach other robots new functions and capabilities within hours through self-captured videos.”
