About Noise Suppression Components

Noise is a fluctuation in an electrical signal exhibited by all the electronic circuits. Noise produced by electronic devices varies as it is produced by several different effects. For effective noise suppression in electronic equipment, the design engineers should require a good understanding of the different types of EMI suppression filters and the features so that they can use suitable components. The filtering characteristics of EMI suppression filters are significantly dependent on the construction, as various products are available in the market and it is difficult to understand all of them.

The analysts forecast the global noise suppression components market to grow at a CAGR of 8.98% during the period 2017-2021.

New Report Released: – Global Noise Suppression Components Market 2017-2021

The author of the report recognizes the following companies as the key players in the global noise suppression components market: Parker Chomerics, Comtest Engineering, Laird, Tech-Etch, and Murata manufacturing.

Other Prominent Vendors in the market are: AK Stamping, Alco Technologies, Compac Development, Greene Rubber, Kitagawa Industries America, Leader Tech, Spira Manufacturing, and UVOX.

Commenting on the report, an analyst from the research team said: “One trend in market is use of EMC shielding at package level. Generally, EMC shielding is done after the design of the electronic components. This methodology can affect the performance of the electronic components. For instance, if the shield is installed at the end of the manufacturing, then the performance of the components is likely to get affected due to electromagnetic coupling between the electronic components and the shield. Thus, integration of the shield is more effective before it reaches the customer applications. It also avoids the number of tuning required to be done to the electronic components to make it compatible with the EMC shield installed.”

According to the report, one driver in market is increased adoption of plastic housings for electronic equipment. Plastic housing for electronics is being preferred more than metal housing because they are inexpensive, they do not conduct electricity, they are lighter, and make the electronic device ideal for installation near water. As they are insulators, they also allow the electromagnetic waves to pass through them easily because of which conductive barriers are applied to the shield. To provide shielding, the plastic housing is coated with the conductive layer.

Further, the report states that one challenge in market is changing regulatory requirement. The regulatory requirement varies globally. In the case of electronics manufacturing companies, it is pertinent to comply as per the government standards to perform equipment testing. As EMI shielding tests are essential in all electronic devices, the testing labs have to comply with government regulations because of the waste produced by electronic manufacturing firms. In addition, companies should be Energy Star certified and comply with Environmental Protection Act that forbids the use of hazardous and polluting products. Generally, because of compliance issues, there is a delay in the overall process, which hampers the use of EMI shielding.

The study was conducted using an objective combination of primary and secondary information including inputs from key participants in the industry. The report contains a comprehensive market and vendor landscape in addition to a SWOT analysis of the key vendors.
