New Report Released: – Commercial Vehicles Exhaust Gas Recirculation System Market in APAC 2017-2021

The author of the report recognizes the following companies as the key players in the commercial vehicles exhaust gas recirculation system market in APAC: BorgWarner, Cummins, Delphi Automotive, Faurecia, MAHLE, and Tenneco.

Other Prominent Vendors in the market are: Wuxi Longsheng, Pierburg, and Zhejiang Yinlun Machinery.

Commenting on the report, an analyst from the research team said: “One trend in market is compact emissions aftertreatment module including EGR. The formulation of stringent emission norms for commercial vehicles will drive OEMs to use a combination of DOC, SCR, and DPF for controlling vehicular emissions. For instance, Cummins, a leading automotive supplier, has launched an aftertreatment system that combines SCR, DPF, and DOC into a single module called single module aftertreatment. The system will meet greenhouse gas and fuel-efficiency standards for EPA 2017.”

According to the report, one driver in market is growing trend of downsizing in commercial vehicles. OEMs are increasingly replacing mechanical parts in vehicles with electronic parts to increase efficiency. The engine block of an automotive contains a number of mechanical components that require timely maintenance, which can be costly as well as time-consuming. Hence, OEMs are focusing on replacing these parts with electronic parts that have sophisticated controls and on-board diagnostics to monitor performance and efficiency of the systems constantly. This has driven OEMs to focus on engine downsizing wherein essential components of the powertrain are replaced by lighter and more efficient electronic parts, resulting in an advanced compact powertrain that delivers maximum output matching that of larger engine sizes. However, downsized engines generate too much heat while in operation as their reduced overall size makes it difficult to dissipate the heat generated during normal operation.

Further, the report states that one challenge in market is growing focus on green transportation. Increasing pollution levels are forcing governments to invest in alternative sources of fuel and reduce their dependence on petroleum-based fuels. World pollution levels increased about 10% in 2015 from 2014. Fast growing cities of emerging countries are among the worst affected by the deteriorating levels of air quality. The increase in the levels of pollution adversely affects human life with a significant portion of the population being exposed. Out of the 100 most polluted cities in the world, around 30 cities are located in India and around 20 cities are located in China. The increased growth of the commercial vehicle industry and passenger car industry has led to an unprecedented rise in air pollution with the highest percentages of ultra-fine particulate levels of less than 2.5 microns.

The study was conducted using an objective combination of primary and secondary information including inputs from key participants in the industry. The report contains a comprehensive market and vendor landscape in addition to a SWOT analysis of the key vendors.
