Mounters are widely used and of high technological content. In recent years, most mounters produced in China are made with LED, which requires low technology. As more and more mounters of high speed and high precision are developed and produced, applications become more and more widespread, as well as the output. In 2015, the import volume of mounters was about 8,000 and the export was about 2,300.
As for the regional demand of mounters in China, the Pearl River Delta takes more than 60%, as compared to the Yangtze River Delta, which only takes about 20%. As for enterprises’ property, there are a large number of enterprises from Europe, America, Japan, Taiwan and HK investing in mounter industry of Chinese Mainland and they are also the buyers of SMT equipment. At present in China, SMT mounter manufacturers include Torch Tech, JIANGSU TORSUNG, Beijing BOREY, Signking Automation and so on. However, most mounter manufactures of leading brands in the country are foreign enterprises, such as SONY, Assembleon, Siemens, Panasonic, FUJI, YAMAHA, JUKI, MIRAE, SAMSUNG, and UNIVERSAL.
Although mounter industry developed late in China, it has entered into a new stage of deep research and large-scale production. Domestic manufacturers have advanced on products’ quality and own price advantage. As exports tends to increase, it is predicted that the output of mounters will rise up as well.
