Summary

The Construction Intelligence Center (CIC) is currently tracking power generation construction projects in Asia-Pacific with a total value of US$2.11 trillion. Of this, US$873.8 billion is in the planning stage. China accounts for the highest value with US$541.8 billion, followed by India with projects valuing US$470.5 billion. Pakistan and Vietnam follow with power generation projects with a value of US$147.1 billion and US$145.4 billion respectively. Asia-Pacific's highest project investment is in coal power with a value of US$705.4 billion followed by hydroelectric power with a value of US$479.7 billion. The largest projects currently in the pipeline are the US$24.0 billion Jaitapur Nuclear Power Plant in India and the US$24.0 billion Karnali Chisapani Multipurpose Dam in Nepal.
