About Liquid Macrofiltration
The heavy-duty end of the filtration business is liquid macrofiltration, which covers the efficiency range between screens and membranes. Liquid macrofiltration deals with large quantities of solids. Therefore, the specific equipment in this segment (belt presses, sand filters, leaf filters, filter presses, gravity belt filters, and bag filters) are rugged and large. They are used in the mining, chemical, municipal water and wastewater plants, and other industries, where solid/liquid separation is required.

The analysts forecast the global liquid macrofiltration market to grow at a CAGR of 4.83% during the period 2017-2021.

New Report Released: – Global Liquid Macrofiltration Market 2017-2021

The author of the report recognizes the following companies as the key players in the global liquid macrofiltration market: Amiad Water Systems, ANDRITZ, Eaton and Parker Hannifin.

Other Prominent Vendors in the market are: Filtration Group, GE Water & Process Technologies, Lenntech, Lydall, MANN+HUMMEL, Nexom and Siemens.

Commenting on the report, an analyst from the research team said: “One trend in the market Is growing use of automatic backwashing filters. The growing use of automatic backwashing filters is one of the major trends witnessed in the global liquid macrofiltration market. This is an automation process that is developed to increase the life of the filter equipment.”

According to the report, one driver in the market is growth of nuclear power sector in China. According to World Nuclear Association, the nuclear power industry in China is expected to grow three-fold, adding a nuclear capacity of at least 58 GWe by the end of 2020 and then another 150 GWe by the end of 2030. The per capita electricity consumption in China was 3,510 kWh in 2012. It is expected to reach 5,500 kWh/yr by 2030 and about 8,500 kWh/yr by 2050. Coal is the primary energy source, and the location of China's coal reserves mostly in the northern and northwestern regions has led to severe logistics problems. For instance, nearly half of the rail system in China is used to transport coal.

Further, the report states that one challenge in the market is slowdown and declining CAPEX in mining industry. The global mining has faced several challenges in 2015 due to factors such as increasing costs, geopolitical turmoil, the decline in the quality of mined products, price volatility, and lack of adequate financing. With the drastic fall in the price of commodities, mining companies are finding it quite difficult to recalibrate. The industry is faced with a host of unresolved issues such as the declining demand for mined products.

The study was conducted using an objective combination of primary and secondary information including inputs from key participants in the industry. The report contains a comprehensive market and vendor landscape in addition to a SWOT analysis of the key vendors.
