Electrically conductive coatings provide both electrical conductivity as well as corrosion prevention. These coatings are formulated with a combination of epoxy resins, hardeners, and carbon black. Epoxy resins are cost effective and possess good physical properties. These coatings are applied by different methods such as dip, flow, and spray methods. Electrically conductive properties can also be achieved by inducing fillers like graphite, carbon black-silver, short carbon fibers, carbon nanofibers, and silver-coated carbon nanotubes. These coatings are widely used in the consumer electronics, solar, automotive, aerospace and bioscience industries.
