As the largest automotive aftermarket parts provider in North America, Advance Auto Parts (Advance) serves professional installers, DIY individuals and independent operators. The company offers a broad range of branded, original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and private label automotive replacement parts, accessories, batteries and maintenance items for domestic and imported cars, vans, sport utility vehicles and light and heavy duty trucks.

Headquartered in Virginia (US), Advance was founded in 1929 and employs about 74,000 people. It operates through a network of more than 5,000 stores and over 100 branches of Worldpac, a wholesale distributor of OE parts. The company also owns and operates a distribution network, called Carquest, via independent retailers.

There are about 1,300 independently-owned Carquest branded stores in the United States, Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands and Canada. For year ended December 31st 2016, Advance reported revenue of $9.6 billion, down from $9.7 billion (or 1.7%) from previous year. Advance competes with both national and regional chains of automotive parts stores, including AutoZone, NAPA, O'Reilly, The Pep Boys-Manny, Moe & Jack and Auto Plus among others. Recently, Advance has signed a multi-year deal with Mexican soccer body as the Official Automobile Aftermarket Parts Partner of the Mexican National Team’s annual US tour.
