Advance Praise for LEAD FEARLESSLY, LOVE HARD

"Linda Cliatt–Wayman is a high–voltage force of determination and possibility, while telling her students ′If nobody told you they loved you today, remember, I do.′ She writes, ′All children will rise to our expectations.′ And her book is a road map for those who want to help them get there."
—Diane Sawyer

"Linda Cliatt–Wayman is the exemplar other school leaders can benchmark themselves against. She shows that if you lead relentlessly with conviction, clarity, and, above all, love for your students, there is no obstacle too large to overcome and no limit on the potential of any student."
—Michael Spangenberg, Interim Head of School at Bright Water Elementary

"A brave and exceptional job of leading with intentions of delivering HOPE, not only to the student characters within the book, but to all who choose to read the story, as well. Lead Fearlessly, Love Hard grants the reader the opportunity to witness up close, how love, humility, and an unwavering commitment to service, can transform any space in today′s world."
—Jerome Allen, Assistant Coach, Boston Celtics

"An indomitable principal, widely esteemed as a school turnaround expert and known for her fierce love of children, Linda Cliatt–Wayman opens up about the challenges and anxieties that marked her struggle to save and strengthen neighborhood–based public schools in Philadelphia at a time when they were no longer simply neglected, but instead under assault. She exposes powerful lessons about leadership, identifies key drivers of institutional change, and throughout reminds us why neighborhood public schools are worth fighting for."
—Jerusha O. Conner, Associate Professor of Education, Villanova University

"Mrs. Wayman′s steadfast conviction for working and leading on behalf of children is like no other. Her experience, perseverance and commitment to excellence make her an unprecedented leader, who always leads from a place of love!"
—Anna Shurak, Former Principal, The Young Women′s Leadership School at Rhodes High School
