The global medical aesthetic device market is estimated to be USD 8.38 billion in 2016 and is projected to reach USD 13.81 billion by 2021, growing at a CAGR of 10.5% during the forecast period.

Minimally invasive and non-surgical aesthetic procedures, like the facial cosmetic procedures and liposuction procedures, account for a majority of the aesthetic procedures performed. Silicone breast implants contribute to approximately 98% of the market in the US alone. Trans-umbilical breast augmentation is expected to fuel the growth of the silicone breast implants market in the US. France is the leading aesthetic device market in Europe with top surgical procedures like Augmentation Mammaire, Lipoplastie, Bl̩pharoplastie, Rhinoplastie, and Lifting Mammaire, accounting for approximately 20.04%, 16.97%, 13.29%, 7.62%, and 7.08% respectively. Asia-Pacific region was estimated to have had about 4,336,866 aesthetic procedures in 2011 itself, which was approximately 29.5% of the total aesthetic procedures. Botulinum Toxin Type A (Botox Dysport), a major non-surgical procedure, accounted for 3,179,652 procedures in the same year, followed by Hyaluronic Acid, which accounted for 1,937,576 procedures, globally during 2011.
