Polybutylene Terephthalate (PBT) is a widely accepted product in various fields because of its diversified nature. These include automotive applications, such as power steering, plug connectors, electronic applications such as irons, computer keyboards, fibre optic cable jackets, films/sheets, bathroom accessories such as showerheads and toothbrushes. It is also used in bottles, keycaps, photovoltaic panels and parts, distribution boxes, medical devices etc.

The diversified use of the PBT and its increasing demand in the Asia-Pacific region are the significant drivers for the market. Moreover, its use in energy saving lamps also act as an important driver.
