Global Ethanolamines Market has been estimated at USD XX Billion in 2015 and is projected to reach USD XX billion by 2020, at a CAGR of XX% during the forecast period from 2015 to 2020.

Ethanolamines are corrosive, colorless, flammable and viscous liquids that are produced by the reaction of ethylene oxide and ammonia. There are three types of Ethanolamines, namely mono-ethanolamines (MEA), di-ethanolamines (DEA), and tri-ethanolamines (TEA). The ethanolamines depends on whether an ammonia molecule is reacting with either 1, 2, or 3 ethylene oxide molecules. The composition of the resulting mixture is finally determined by the respective ratio in between the raw materials. The content of water decided the pressure to be maintained while producing the ethanolamines. The cost of production changes in according to the quantity of water and the pressure applied.

The demand for ethanolamines is highest in North American region, primarily United States due to a strong need from the cement, gas treatment, pharmaceuticals, agricultural, personal care products apart from others. The United States is followed by China and Japan. The entire Asia Pacific region is the largest future market for the ethanolamines. The growth is related to a decline in the production of Monoethylene Glycol. There has been a great rise in demand from the Latin American and Middle East & African regions. The sudden rise in the use of the ethanolamines in the use to manufacture wood preservatives and construction chemicals have been the main opportunity of the market. The Volatility in the prices of raw materials due to volatile crude oil prices, have been a major drawback for the market, however with very low intensity.

The report is further segmented into various regions according to the potential of the market. The ethanolamine market is expected to gain in Latin American, Asia Pacific and Middle East markets rapidly, due to rapid industrialization, high rate of population growth and the increasing use in personal care products and pharmaceutical industry.

The major companies have an increasing share in the market as they have been continuously creating joint ventures to increase their market share. The major firms are investing heavily into the Research and Development and thus are thrilled to grab the market share. The Research and development is mainly focused over the ways to produce the low cost ethanolamines and ways to reduce the use of water along with the best product that could be made available in the market. Some of the prominent firms in the ethanolamine market are BASF SE, Dow Chemicals, Akzo Nobel, INEOS Oxide Limited, Fushun Beifang Chemical Company Ltd., China Petroleum & Chemical Corp., and Thai Ethanolamines Company Ltd.
