The global vinyl acetate market was estimated at USD XXX.XX million in 2015 and is projected to reach USD XXX.XX million by 2020, at an estimated CAGR of XX.XX% during the forecast period (2017 - 2022). Vinyl acetate is a colourless liquid and is soluble in water. It can be polymerized through heating or contamination. Vinyl acetate is generally used as vinyl monomer in order to create different propositions of homopolymers and copolymers, which are further reacted to make different solutions with alcoholic properties.

Vinyl acetate is primarily used in adhesives, paints and plastics. However, most of its applications are mature in nature. The major growth areas are ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymers and polyvinyl alcohol, as they are used in solar energy. It has also been used in various other operations such as automotive, architectural and commercial operations. Its short-term exposure in the air results in irritation of the eyes and respiratory system, and hence, requires precautionary measures for the workers.

The market for vinyl acetate is very limited due to its high capital cost and processing technologies. The market is shifting towards the Middle-East and Asia-Pacific regions, which become net exporters to South America and Western Europe. Vinyl acetate and its concentrates are being largely used in North America and Western Europe. These regions account for almost half of the consumption. However, the consumption in other regions depends on the condition of the general economy. The demand is going to be concentrated in China and US in the near future.

The market has also been geographically segmented into APAC, North America, Europe, South America, and MEA. As most of the economies are developing in nature, the industrial growth in the market is significant due to the increasing demand for both consumer and investment goods, especially in the Asia-Pacific region. The profiles of the various companies producing vinyl acetate have been discussed in the study. The key players in the market includes DOW Chemicals, Innospec Inc., Infineum International Ltd., Exxon Mobil Corporation, Arkema S.A., BASF SE, Clariant AG, Celanese Corporation, Lyondellbasell Industries Nv, DuPont, Sinopec Corporation, Kuraray Corporation Ltd.
