Polyvinyl chloride (PVC), is a synthetic resin, produced from the polymerization of the vinyl chloride. It is the third most widely produced synthetic plastic polymer. The flexible PVC is used in numerous applications such as electrical cable insulation plumbing, inflatable products, medical devices, and signage. However, the rigid PVC, owing to its nature is majorly used in profile applications in windows and door, and construction (in the form of pipes). Additionally, the rigid PVC is also used in the manufacturing of bottles; cards such as membership cards, ID cards, and bank card; and non-food packaging.
