December is the month with the smallest values, ranging from 0,62 kWh/m2 (Krizevci) to 1,50 kWh/m2 (Komiza). The natural potential of solar energy in continental regions of Croatia, with an average insulation of 3.6 kWh/m², amounts to around 74,300 TWh/annum (267.500 PJ/annum.), which is over 800 times more than the consumption of primary energy in Croatia in 2016.
Starting from 1 January 2016, the Croatian Government introduced a new promotion scheme for RES-Electricity producers based on the market premium model, under which changes to the current market energy prices should have more influence on the incentivized prices paid to RES-Electricity producers. In addition, there are also guaran¬teed off-take prices available to RES-Electricity producers
