In Feb 2016, Texas Instruments developed a High-Brightness LED Matrix Manager for Automotive Headlight Systems named e TPS92661 as per company website. It is a highly integrated solution with compact size used for shunt FET dimming for large arrays of high-brightness LEDs.  However, the high brightness LEDs used in automobiles require power convertors in order to enable the LEDs to function across considerable range of input and output voltage and to provide tolerance to electrical transients. LEDs are mainly used in rear combination lamps, center high-mount stop lamps, LED narrow-rail lamps in the automobiles.
