New Report Released: - Global Battery-powered Breast Pumps Market 2017-2021

The author of the report recognizes the following companies as the key players in the global battery-powered breast pumps market: Ameda, Medela, Philips Avent, and Pigeon.

Other Prominent Vendors in the market are: Hygeia Health, NUK USA, Nuby, and Spectra Baby USA.

Commenting on the report, an analyst from the research team said: “One trend in the market is rising adoption of online retail. The increased penetration of internet is changing the purchase patterns of consumers for nearly all healthcare and retail products, including various accessories like breast pumps. In recent years, various types of breast pumps have been made available on e-commerce websites, as well as in the proprietary websites of the sellers.”

According to the report, one driver in the market is growing awareness about breastfeeding. Breastfeeding is one of the most critical and vital aspects of care. It is recommended that infants be breastfed for at least six months from birth. As per the lactation specialists, the mother's milk is one of the most vital sources of antibodies, antioxidants, proteins, and a complete nutritional mix, which helps the baby to get a healthy and disease-free life. Various childhood illnesses, such as pneumonia, diarrhea, ear infection, asthma, weak bone, malnutrition, and other diseases caused due to weak immune system, can be easily prevented by breastfeeding new born babies.

Further, the report states that one challenge in the market is availability of substitutes. Breast milk is the most recommended food for newborn baby, until the age of six months, owing to the health benefits of breast milk. The nurturing and growth developing factors, such as essential enzymes, antibodies, and antioxidants, present in the breast milk are highly necessary for the improvement in mental health and physical health of the baby. Various organizations such as American Medical Association (AMA), American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and World Health Organization (WHO) are actively engaged to create awareness about breastfeeding in lactating women.

The study was conducted using an objective combination of primary and secondary information including inputs from key participants in the industry. The report contains a comprehensive market and vendor landscape in addition to a SWOT analysis of the key vendors.
