The top four fuel retailers in Portugal accounted for 60.5% of the number of service station shops in the country. Galp is the leading player in the service station shop market, with 47.2% of its 720 sites featuring a shop. 17.7% of all service station sites with a shop are Galp branded.

38.5% of service stations in Portugal feature a car wash. The total number of service stations with a car wash in Portugal rose by 3.4% to 1,089 sites as retailers invested in these facilities. Galp has the largest number of service stations with a car wash in the country, at 202 sites, amounting to 18.6% of the national network. Of the top four players, BP, Repsol and Cepsa increased the number of sites with a car wash in their networks in 2016. The top four fuel retailers in Portugal account for 43.7% of service stations with a car wash in the country.
