The World Is Moving towards a digital age where everything including electronic devices are interlinked and possible access can be made between them. During the cold war era radars were huge structures requiring large amounts of manpower to run but now radar systems have become portable and can be attached to moving vehicles , like the Airborne early warning and control system which is attached onto a fixed wing. The radar is basically a system which detects the objects, their speed, height etc using radio waves. An electronic warfare aircraft is thus an aircraft which reduces the effectiveness of enemy radio and radar systems by overloading its system with false information or noise.

A basic modern electronic warfare capable aircraft has at least a Radio Warner and jammer and allows the pilot to neutralize the threats posed by the radar by the most suited type of jamming. The need for an electronic warfare aircraft is quite urgent, that is the reason various transport aircraft and aircraft used for other purposes are fitted with hardware capable of electronic warfare but the results do not come to be the same. There is a urgent requirement for a relatively lower cost Electronic Warfare Capable Aircraft which could be designed solely for that purpose. Electronic Warfare Aircraft Can be anything, Helicopters, turbo Prop jet Aircraft, helicopters, unmanned aerial vehicles...Etc. Though the Boeing EA-18G Growler developed from the Chassis of FA-18 Super Hornet is a modern Electronic warfare Fighter built solely for that purpose more such specialized aircraft are needed. Thus we can see that as Radar systems became more and more effective with their range and effectiveness the need for a specialized electronic warfare aircraft is a reality and such an aircraft does not remain an indulgence anymore.

All the new aircraft which ahve been developed in recent times or are in the process of development are electronic warfare capable. This includes aircraft from Unmanned Aerial Vehicles to Helicopters. Hence it is seen that the Electronic Warfare Aircraft Market will grow rapidly over the next few years and the major drivers of the market will be Asia Pacific, Middle East and Latin America.
