This 39-page report analyses trends in the international textile yarn machinery market, and includes detailed information about installed capacities and shipments of spinning machines by type, region and selected country. Overall, 2016 was a mixed year for the international textile yarn machinery market. There were increases in shipments of long staple spindles, open-end rotors and single heater false-twist draw texturing spindles but shipments of short staple spindles and double heater false-twist draw texturing spindles fell to their lowest levels since 2009. On a geographical basis, there was a rebound in shipments of spinning machinery to the textile industry in China but shipments of double heater false-twist draw texturing spindles continued to decline. Elsewhere, there were increases in shipments of four types of machinery to the textile industry in Italy and increases in shipments of three types of machinery to the textile industry in Indonesia. However, there were sharp declines in shipments of three types of machinery to the USA.
