About Microelectromechanical Systems (MEMS) Production Equipment

MEMS refer to mechatronic systems, miniature in size, and fabricated using very large-scale integration (VLSI) technology. VLSI technology is used to fabricate semiconductor chips. Vendors manufacture tiny electronic and mechanical components using VLSI. This process of manufacturing miniaturized electronics using VLSI technology is sometimes referred to as conventional, traditional 2-D silicon-based fabrication processes. Using these processes, vendors manufacture micro-components from the same or different substrates, integrating all the components.
