For the second consecutive year, the researcher has conducted a survey on German business and industry customers who have had a photovoltaic system (primarily between 30 and 250 kWp) installed.

The survey includes topics like PV technology, brands and battery storage. The study focuses on the return of investment expectations of the surveyed companies, regarding PV plant and PV plant plus storage system. Also, the buying process and motives for installation were analyzed.

The study provides comprehensive insights into the German PV and storage market and into the buying process of business and industry customers. It provides valuable assistance in order to adapt your business strategy and your product portfolio.

The identification of companies who have had a PV plant installed is based on data from the German   Bundesnetzagentur combined with data enrichment by the researcher.

The survey of the relevant companies is conducted via telephone interviews (CATI) and supported by an online   survey.

The results of the study Business and Industry Monitor

1.0 (Focus: Buying process and Usage behavior) and Business and Industry Monitor

2.0 (Focus: Return on Invest Expectations) will be merged. For the Business and Industry Monitor 1.0, 207 companies were surveyed who had a PV plant installed between 2001 and April 2016. In the survey wave for Business and Industry Monitor 2.0, 100 companies are surveyed who had a PV plant installed between May 2016 and March 2017.
