Learn how to identify non-value adding activities and waste in your organization through our Value Stream Mapping training. Value stream mapping (VSM) is a pictorial flowchart method used to illustrate, analyze and improve the steps required to deliver a product or service, by using a system of symbols to represent various work activities and information flows. Flowcharts are analyzed using critical path analysis and process reliability modeling to determine effectiveness, efficiency and reliability. The outcome of such analysis depends on management's willingness to listen to its employees and process reliability data. Six Sigma data suggests the average loss due to poor management of processes varies between 25% and 40% of sales. On a scale of 1 to 6 sigma, this loss suggests an organization running at 3 sigma-not ideal!

Objectives of the Presentation
As a management tool, attendees can use value stream mapping (VSM) to: - Graphically illustrate, analyze and understand the flow of materials and the information needed to process them
- Highlight problems, inefficiencies and losses within complex systems
- Develop and implement countermeasures in a highly visual way that facilitates culture change within the organization
- Focus direction for the lean transformation teams, front-line supervision and upper management towards continuous improvement
- Serve as a dashboard to monitor and continuously improve the process

Why Should you Attend?

Do you want to get more insight on how the VSM process really works? Join this session with organizational management expert Dr. Michael Abitz who will share an array of tools and methods that your organization can engage to reduce the loss of revenue and boost customer satisfaction. The session gives you a chance to make a difference by learning the methods to map, analyze and determine the effectiveness, efficiency and reliability of processes.
