Various airplane components, like engines, rotors, and other mechanical parts, require hard and wear resistant coatings that can withstand high temperatures, therefore, they are coated with ceramic coatings. The United States government has significantly increased its spending on the defense sector in the recent years. There has been a growing demand for safety coatings materials and performance metal finishing in defense equipment, due to their ability to enhance durability, thermal resistance, and other properties. This has increased the use of ceramic coatings in the sector.
