Stephen A. Roosa is an internationally acclaimed author, lecturer, and expert on the subject of sustainable development. He has over 35 years of experience in energy engineering, energy management and renewable energy. He is the editor-in-chief for Strategic Planning for Energy and the Environment and the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) Director of Sustainable State and Local Programs. As past AEE President, he now serves as chairman of the Sustainable Development Professional (CSDP) Certification Board, chairman of the Renewable Energy Professional (REP) Certification Board, and is on the Certified Energy Manager (CEM) Certification Board. He has been recognized as a Legend in Energy and a member of the Energy Manager’s Hall of Fame.
Dr. Roosa holds a Ph.D. from the University of Louisville in Urban Planning and Development, a Master of Business Administration from Webster University and a Professional Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Kentucky. Previous books he has authored include the Sustainable Development Handbook and Carbon Reduction – Policies, Strategies and Technologies.
