Falling LNG shipping costs have come to an end and are now beginning to rise in most areas. At the end of 2017 spot/short-term charter rates hit their highest level in almost four years Newbuilding prices for most ship types have begun to move up (if not for LNG quite yet) Bunker prices have moved up with oil prices Panama canal tolls for LNG were increased 15% in 2017 Included with the report is an Excel download with a matrix of over 250,000 ship costs between all the liquefaction projects and regas terminals in our database for six different ship types.
