Raise the Roof: Industry Growth Will Continue to Benefit from Strong Construction Activity
Roofing Contractors in Texas
Over the five years to 2017, the Roofing Contractors industry in Texas is expected to experience healthy growth. This projected growth is largely attributed to a rapid increase in the value of nonresidential building construction activity, brought on by state government investment in manufacturing opportunities. In addition, roofing companies have benefited from growth in the number of housing starts, which has lifted residential construction activity. Over the five years to 2022, revenue is expected to continue increasing, albeit at a slightly slower pace than the previous five-year period. However, sales growth will be largely driven by faster growth in the number of housing starts, which will further drive up demand among buyers in the residential markets. The continued rise in nonresidential construction activity will also contribute to the rise in demand. Demand stability and low barriers to entry will further encourage new players to enter the industry.
Industry operators install roofing, siding, sheet metal and roof drainage systems, such as downspouts and gutters. Activities also include treating roofs (e.g. spraying, painting or coating), coppersmithing, tinsmithing, installing skylights, installing metal ceilings, flashing, ductwork and capping. Work performed includes new work, additions, alterations, maintenance and repairs.
This report covers the scope, size, disposition and growth of the industry including the key sensitivities and success factors. Also included are five year industry forecasts, growth rates and an analysis of the industry key players and their market shares.
