The total global coffee export volume has continuously fluctuated over the years. The coffee export volume worldwide was estimated to increase again in the 2018 / 2019e crop, reaching 4.23%. In particular, in the period of 2012/2013 - 2018/2019, the global coffee import volume grew steadily in recent years with the compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of 2.21%.
According to the USDA report, in the crop year of 2018/19, the coffee production is expected to continue to grow because of the stable weather in the past year crop as well as the sufficient supply to the crop from rainfall. The domestic coffee consumption in the period of 2012/2013 - 2018 / 20119e grew with CAGR of 7.9%, in which consumption of roasted coffee accounted for about 2/3 of the output.
In 2018, the estimated exports of coffee increased by 16.6% over the same period last year. The export turnover increased slightly by 1.04% over the same period.
