Overview:
Emotional intelligence has been a topic of concern for many years, in large part because the 'my way or the highway' approach to management is dead. We can thank the millennials for that. An executive or manager, with low E.Q., dampens the employees 'discretionary effort', with huge consequences to employers including poor performance, turnover, customer dissatisfaction, brand damage, lawsuits and the bottom-line.

Career success has everything to do with how well we 'show up.' Don Phin calls that presence our 'emotional energy'. Who we are is just as important as what we do when leading or managing people. In this program, he will share an understanding, metaphors and other tools you can use to create great work relationships and results.

In this workshop, Don will take a visit to the emotional stage and begin by talking about the role of the victim, villain, and hero. Don will introduce the concept of the 'negative hero'- someone who’s intentions are good, but outcomes are not.

Having set the stage, we then dive into the emotional energy behind these roles. We will learn how we can use that energy so both coach and client can be a hero in the coaching story. The 40 - - 40 Solution is the answer!
