This report forecasts 2026 US residential roofing demand in squares (one square equals 100 square feet). Total demand is segmented by product in terms of asphalt shingles; metal roofing; bituminous roofing; roofing tile; plastic single-ply roofing; wood shakes and shingles; rubber single-ply roofing; and small-volume roofing products such as spray polyurethane foam, composite, slate, liquid-applied roof coatings, vegetative, and solar. Total demand is also segmented by application as follows: reroofing and new.

To illustrate historical trends, total demand is provided in annual series from 2011 to 2021; the various segments are reported at five-year intervals for 2011, 2016, and 2021.
