  • Webinar

  • 60 Minutes
  • March 2021
  • NetZealous LLC
  • ID: 5241623
Overview:

This program will offer participants an overview of the leader’s role in preventing the threat of workplace violence.

While warning signs are important, having an understanding and familiarity of root causes and contributing factors can help the potential aggressor’s deescalate before they transition to being disgruntled and thoughts of retaliation. Remember, retaliation doesn’t have to be a violent act; there are a host of behaviors available to the disgruntled employee that would never be considered as workplace violence. Leaders, who understand what is workplace violence and how it is initiated will find them in a better position to apply multiple intervention strategies in resolving conflict, instill trust and confidence in the leader and creating the impression that the Employer can provide for a safer and secure workplace.

Key to the importance of prevention is having a sound approach based on policies, strategies, procedures and a workplace violence prevention plan that supports the policy and other workplace security policies and procedures.

Why you should Attend:

This program will provide an often overlooked leadership overview that will enhance the leader’s role in combating the threat of workplace. It will unveil insights into how incidents and situations when left unabated escalate and rise to workplace conflict and even physical violence. The webinar will generate the “WHY” and discuss the “HOW”. So, if you interest is on prevention this program will give clarity to those responsible for running any organizational entity.

Leaders not only have a legal responsibility to their Employers but a moral responsibility for rectifying conditions and contributing factors that help to resolve recognizable known hazards in providing for the safety and security of personnel within the operation.

This content applies the saying that “that the day of the incident is too late to begin developing your policies, plans and procedures, but, rather the day they get tested and evaluated.”

Areas Covered in the Session:
  • Preventing workplace violence is a Leadership Responsibility
  • Prevention is the identification of ROOT CAUSES & CONTRIBUTING FACTORS
  • Discipline alone will not abate the threat of violence as it requires MULTIPLE INTERVENTION STRATEGIES
  • Conducting WORKSITE SPECIFIC assessments and evaluations will help identify UNIQUE RISKS & GASPs in program management
  • Workplace Violence Prevention is not a policy but an ONGOING PROCESS that supports the policy
