As you grow leadership in others, you will have both managers and leaders attend your sessions. Although rare, you may meet learners who know how to jump between both roles effectively. Both roles of manager and leader are critical to your organization.

Both roles are difficult to staff and when staffed with good people, magic happens. Managers are usually grown from within - coming up from a functional job to lead others in that functional job. Many of the leadership competencies we'll discuss are as important to a manager as they are to a leader.

But the truth is, it is very difficult for a manager to leave the day-to-day operations that have created success to jump into the unknown of leadership. While managers look 'down' at their people, leaders are more often scanning 'out' toward the future. Managers are tactical; leaders are strategic. Managers are about people; leaders inspire people to be all about the future of the organization. Both are needed for organizations to thrive.

Learn how to build a workshop designed to help an individual see where they want to be. Whether heading to leadership or management, experiencing and practicing the competencies will move your learners on their journey. Your goal is to take them from where they are, to where they can go. Each one will be unique in that journey.

One small warning - growing management and leadership is not for the faint of heart. No one became a manager or leader by hearing only good news about their own behavior. Learn how to provoke a deep dive into the strengths and also weaknesses.

This isn't always fun and as a facilitator, you have a moral obligation to keep the learners safe as they learn through pain. Help them process without denying the cognitive dissonance ('pain') that provides the energy that builds performance growth.

Growing management or leadership is not a project, it's a process. It never ends. Even the strongest leaders need to 'sharpen the saw' and grow their innovation to drive performance. Even the most effective managers need new processes and tools to combine with their own influencing skills for more efficiency. Together you are facilitating learning for them to create greatness.

Why you should Attend

In this webinar, you will learn how to grow leadership in your organizations using a live leadership simulation instead of traditional leadership training. Your students will be able to grow their leadership competence through assessments, simulations, role play, and individualized feedback.

More importantly, they will discover how to create their personal leadership style, influence team members, and build relationships across organizations. They'll also learn to manage change and transition while leading others and aligning actions and priorities with strategic direction.

Leadership competencies cannot be developed by sitting through lectures. This innovative approach to leadership development puts the learners in a full simulation integrating all the leadership competencies into a realistic organizational challenge. There are multiple opportunities for in the moment feedback and social exchange from the facilitator and students.

Two assessments, the TTI Success Insight online assessment and the ODSurvey 360 survey, provide additional feedback about individual leadership strengths and blind spots. Your learners will leave the program with a complete individualized development plan and a commitment to action including clear next steps to take to become a better leader. Add leadership simulation to your training toolkit - start with this webinar.
