With this investment, Advent will hold a 25% stake in Tigre while providing financial and strategic support to the Brazilian company for its expansion plans in the domestic and international markets.In January 2021, Shinetsu Chemical Co, Ltd. announced a capital investment of USD 1.25 billion, aiming to bolster their PVC business. This investment is to bolster their subsidiary in the United States, Shintech Inc. The investment will increase the production capacity of VCM by 580,000 tonnes per year, PVC by 380,000 tonnes per year, and caustic soda by 390,000 tonnes per year.
The output capacity by Shintech will reach about 3.62 of PVC each year.
