The North America Near Infrared Imaging Market would witness market growth of 4.8% CAGR during the forecast period (2023-2030).

Near-infrared (NIR) imaging refers to a technique that uses near-infrared light to create images of objects or biological tissues. Near-infrared light has wavelengths longer than visible light but shorter than the infrared radiation used in thermal imaging. This technique is commonly used in various fields such as medicine, agriculture, astronomy, and art restoration, among others, due to its ability to penetrate certain materials and provide valuable information.

NIR uses light with a wavelength in the range between 650 and 950 nm and is utilized to find any damage, illness, or artificial changes. It is an efficient diagnostic device that can perform non-ionizing, minimally invasive tissue imaging. The major constituents of tissues, blood, and water, do not absorb NIR well, increasing the possibility of lighting for internal mechanisms.

Early cancer discovery has led to an increase in procedures for the disease. Technology has advanced, and medical practitioners in the region are using near-infrared imaging equipment more frequently. A growing number of cancer cases, including liver cancer, breast cancer, lung cancer, and several chronic diseases, are being reported in the US. In Canada as well, a rise in the number of cancer cases has been observed, affecting both female and male populations. The advantages of using near-infrared imaging methods have led to significant demand for it in Canada also. Other factors that are having a strong impact on the growth of the near-infrared imaging market in Canada include an aging population and rising healthcare costs. As a result, the region has already witnessed the benefits of NIR imaging technology and as such, efforts have been made by different agencies and institutions to boost the growth of the market here.

The US market dominated the North America Near Infrared Imaging Market by Country in 2022, and would continue to be a dominant market till 2030; thereby, achieving a market value of $813.2 million. The Canada market is experiencing a CAGR of 7.1% during (2023 - 2030). Additionally, The Mexico market would exhibit a CAGR of 6.2% during (2023 - 2030).
