A new leaf: Revenue edges downwards as people turn away from e-books towards traditional paper copies
Prior to the current five-year period, e-book sales surged with the introduction of new mobile devices. However, industry revenue is expected to fall at a compound annual rate of 2.9% over the five years through 2023-24 to £372.7 million. A declining trend for e-book publishing over the past five years has been fuelled by the maturation of e-book sales as a product category.
