The improving economic situation of Polish families with greater disposable income contributed to positive growth in sales of consumer appliances. Strong Polish GDP was partly due to improved consumer behaviour, which in turn was caused inter alia by a benefits programme supporting low-income families with children, the 500+. Due to enhanced economic conditions, consumer confidence grew, resulting in more frequent purchases of new products not perceived as essential for living.
