Make the grade: Newfound demand for travel will likely replace consumer demand for industry services

For-profit universities have battled regulators and public opinion for the last decade. The Obama administration targeted schools that misled students about job prospects and expected earnings-to-debt ratios. To receive federal aid, schools had to prove that students could find meaningful employment. For-profit universities never recovered from the government scrutiny and public backlash that peaked enrollment in 2010.

The For-Profit Universities industry includes colleges and universities that offer academic courses at baccalaureate or graduate levels on a for-profit basis. A high school diploma or equivalent academic training is generally an admission requirement. Instruction may be provided in a variety of settings such as educational institutions, the workplace, the home, training facilities and through correspondence, TV, the internet or other electronic or distance-learning means.

This report covers the scope, size, disposition and growth of the industry including the key sensitivities and success factors. Also included are five year industry forecasts, growth rates and an analysis of the industry's key players and their market shares.
