A 48V system incorporates a 48V battery pack with a motor-generator that is integrated to a turbocharger. This combination provides extra torque during heavy acceleration and helps in engine downsizing. In addition, it recharges the battery through regenerative breaking. This system can give a fuel efficiency of 11%-12%.
