Commenting on the report, an analyst said: “For 3D printing of objects like parts and components of rockets and aircraft, fuel cells, and batteries, researchers have developed a unique technique that is inexpensive and uses rust and metal powders. Traditional procedures rely on significant amounts of metal powder beds along with expensive laser or electron beam technology. On the other hand, this new technique developed uses only liquid inks and sintering furnaces that make the entire process uniform, fast, and cheap. This technique can be applied to a wide array of metals, alloys, metal mixtures, and metal oxides and even to plastics.”

According to the report, extrusion coating and laminating are processes that allow different substrate materials to be combined to obtain a single compound structure. This may involve materials like plastics, paper, carton board, or aluminum foils. Extrusion coating and laminating lines are used for a variety of applications, including liquid packaging, flexible packaging, medical packaging as well as sacks for products as diverse as cement, cereal grain, and dry chemicals.

Further, the report states that in most injection molding projects, arriving at an accurate and appropriate budget estimate is a challenging task. Injection molding tools involve a high initial cost despite having a comparatively low cost of production. These two factors have an enormous impact on the entire process as well as the lifecycle of the product. Injection molding tools are quite expensive.
