Companies in the Satellite Telecommunications Activities industry provide satellite-enabled connectivity related to broadcasting, communications, Earth observation and ancillary aerospace-related services to customers in the downstream business-to-business (B2B), business-to-consumer (B2C) and public markets.
Industry participants operate, maintain and provide access to satellite infrastructure to transmit voice, data, text, sound and video. They may also transmit visual, aural or textual programming to consumers via direct-to-home satellite systems. The industry excludes telecommunications resellers (see report J61.900).
