Residential Roofing

Demand for residential roofing in the US is being impacted by a number of factors:  growth in high value roofing with better performance or durability; growing replacement demand; labor shortages; changing building codes; and increasing energy efficiency standards. Reroofing applications will continue to account for the larger share of demand, as the US features a large stock of older residences that have roofs nearing or at the end of their expected useful lifespans. New residential roofing demand is forecast to advance at a faster pace than the reroofing segment. Solid increases in single-family housing starts will boost gains, as these residences tend to have the largest roof areas of any residence type. This new study discusses how these factors will impact sales of residential roofing going forward.

Product types include:
Asphalt Shingles (three-tab, standard laminate, and high-performance laminate)
Metal (standing seam and other)
Roofing Tile (concrete and clay)
