Vankar, Padma Shree
Padma Shree Vankar is an Academic Director at Axis Colleges, Kanpur, India. She had previously worked as Consultant at the Facility for Ecological and Analytical Testing (FEAT), Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. Dr. Vankar has been conducting research into textile dyes and colorants for more than 30 years, and working in the area of natural dyeing for the past 14 years. She has published 130 peer-reviewed articles and 5 books, and has obtained an Indian patent relating to natural dye. As well as lecturing and guiding PhD students when she was at IIT Kanpur, she delivers training programs to industrial dye technicians, and has been involved in the production of 3 documentaries.
Shukla, Dhara
Dhara Shukla is a research assistant at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Concordia University. Her research is focused on texture descriptors using machine learning, and is currently involved in a project for Martian terrain classification. She also has experience working in the manufacturing and textile industries.
