United States, China, Japan, India and Brazil are the top five countries in the world accounting for 61.9% of total FCCU capacity in 2017.

The largest refineries in Asia with active FCC units are Jamnagar I (India), Jamnagar II (India), Mailiao (Taiwan), Yeosu (South Korea) and Ulsan (South Korea). FCCU capacity in Asia increased from 6,538 mbd in 2012 at an AAGR of 3.0%. It is expected to increase to 9,638 mbd in 2022 at an AAGR of 4.8%.
