The global pulp volume reached 156.8 million tons in 2017, an increase of 3.1 million tons, equivalent to 2.0% compared to 2016 because of a series of new production lines invested in the 2016-2019 period are expected a supply booming in the future market. The consumption of pulp in Asia is leading the world with 60.8 million tons of pulp in 2016 increased by 1.5 million tons, equivalent to 2% compared to 2015. In 2018 World paper output reached nearly 436 million tons 0.9% compared with the output of 432 million tons in 2017.

In 2018, Vietnam's pulp and paper export value reached nearly 980.7 million USD, up 32.4% compared to 2017, accounting for 0.4% of the total export turnover, the highest proportion since 2014 .%). In 2018, Vietnam collected and imported more than 3.59 million recycled paper, up 32.6% compared to 2017. Production of pulp in 2018 reached nearly 189.5 thousand tons, up 2.25% compared to 2017. Output Pulp has shown signs of growth since 2016 until now.

Consumption of all kinds of paper in the Vietnamese market is increasing rapidly with an average annual growth rate of 9.8% in the period of 2011-2018. Vietnam's total paper export turnover continued to grow in the period 2011-2018 with a CAGR of 13.0%. Total exports of paper and paper products in 2018 reached nearly 980.7 million USD, up 32.4% compared to 2017.
