This 8-hour course complies with the “train-the-trainer” requirement for Breath Alcohol Technician training and monitoring as outlined United States Code of Federal Regulations DOT regulation 49 CFR Part 40.213(b)(4). Perfect for in-house corporate trainers and those who plan to start their own training business.

Course Overview

Important Note: This course requires the student to have an Evidential Breath Testing Device (EBT) Device for demonstrations and enough mouthpieces for completing more than 7 mocks (at least 10 spare mouthpieces). Students will also need at least 10 Alcohol Testing Forms (ATFs) and tamper-evident tape if your EBT Device does not print tamper evident self-adhesive labels. Recommended devices include models from the following manufacturers: Lifeloc, Intoximeters, Draeger, and Alcovisor.

Learn how to train your own employees for Breath Alcohol Testing (BAT) under DOT protocols. The DOT Breath Alcohol Technician Train-the-Trainer course is carefully designed to prepare trainers to educate DOT Breath Alcohol Technicians in accordance with US DOT regulations. Fully compliant with the “train-the-trainer” requirement for collector training and monitoring as outlined United States Code of Federal Regulations DOT regulation 49 CFR Part 40.213(b)(4).

Course participants receive extensive training on DOT regulations and protocols for DOT breath alcohol testing.
