Course Overview

The Non-DOT Hair Specimen Collector Train-the-Trainer course is a comprehensive training program that covers the instructional practices necessary for training hair specimen collectors for long-term drug testing. Participants are taught the subtle yet critical differences between the various protocols required by major hair testing laboratories across the country.

This program is designed for instructors who will be training others for hair specimen collection for a number of important uses, including: legal and court-ordered drug testing; family substance abuse cases; juvenile detention treatment programs, tribal testing programs, treatment facilities, workplace testing programs, and more.

With the train-the-trainer certification, in-house corporate trainers and trainers who want to start their own training business can train and qualify new hair specimen collectors and conduct both recurrent and error-correction training for collectors.

Students learn at their own pace with our comprehensive online training program that uses videos, documents, resources, and PowerPoint presentations. All training material, including supplies and forms needed for demonstrations, are sent directly to the student. Also included at no extra charge are virtual Mock Demonstrations (Mocks) conducted by webcam. A certificate of completion can be downloaded immediately after passing the online exam.
