Increasing Meat Consumption

Despite the increasing global concern regarding the antimicrobial resistance in humans due to the use of antibiotics in livestock, meat consumption is increasing every year. According to the Organisation for Economic Co-ordination and Development, meat consumption has raised from 114 million metric tons in 2017 to 116 million metric tons in 2018.
