The Taiwanese textile industry is well known for its innovative approach to the development of new performance fibres, textiles and clothing, and, every year, the industry's latest developments are presented at the Taipei Innovative Textile Application Show (TITAS). Textiles Intelligence visited the 2019 edition of TITAS (TITAS 2019)-which was held in Taipei, Taiwan, during October 7-9, 2019-and interviewed exhibitors and industry experts first-hand to identify the latest trends.
There was a strong focus at the fair on the themes of functional applications, intelligent manufacturing, smart textiles and sustainability, and several exhibitors promoted innovations in these areas.
