Bio based products are those products in which the ingredients which were earlier made from fossil fuels are now made from biological products. Typical examples of some biological ingredients are plant oils, soy oil, coconut oil, palm oil, glucose etc. Nowadays enzymes are also used as ingredients of bio based cleaning products. The bio based cleaning market consists of bio solvents, enzymes, cosmetics, bio plastics, bio polymers etc.

The reasons for which the market is shifting towards bio based ingredients is because fossil fuel ingredients are expensive and renewable bio based ingredients are easy to get. The second reason could be that the global countries are moving towards environmental consciousness like the Kyoto protocol and Montreal Protocol where all the countries pledged that they would reduce their carbon footprint in the world and use ecofriendly products and support for bio based cleaning products. Also nowadays consumers are also demanding cleaning products whose ingredients are made from biomass and they are also becoming more environmentally conscious. Also we should also keep in mind that fossil fuels are non-renewable and once finished they cannot be replenished. Bio based cleaning products can be recycled and hence they can be used in the place of metals and minerals.

What are Bio based Cleaning Products?

Bio based products are those products whose ingredients are made from biomass. They are ecofriendly and recyclable and they don’t easily pollute the environment. They are an important component of cleaning products.  Also bio based environmental products are less harmful on the human health and the environment. The bio based cleaning products market is set to grow in the future since there is a lot of consumer awareness compared to the past and several countries are supporting bio based products as well. Since products are made from biomass hence it cause less demand for already depleting fossil fuels whose costs are high.
